Hastings Prince Edward Public Health had one new case of COVID-19 to report Monday, however, that is the only active case across the region.
It is the first new case in almost two weeks.
Two cases that were active as of the health unit‘s last report on Friday have both been resolved.
The new case is a woman in her 60s from the Centre Hastings area with the cause attributed to travel.
Seventy-five per cent of local residents age 12 and up have received one dose of vaccine while 28% have received both doses.
Those numbers put our region a little behind the provincial average, Ontario-wide, where over 77% of people have at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose and more than 35% are fully vaccinated.
Over the last seven days in Hastings and Prince Edward counties, almost 3,000 people lined up to get their first shot while second shots were given to almost 13,500 people.
As of today, anyone over the age of 18 who had a first dose of an mRNA vaccine can book an appointment to receive their second shot ahead of schedule.
Those who got the Oxford-AstraZeneca product as a first dose must wait at least eight weeks before getting a second shot, either of the same vaccine or one of the mRNA vaccines.
In Northumberland on Monday, no new cases of the virus were reported.
Two cases are active.
