Police are continuing to investigate following a serious incident at Belleville’s Waterfront early Monday morning.
Emergency crews were notified around 4:20 a.m., about a situation on the Bay of Quinte at Meyers Pier.
Police, Belleville Fire, and EMS responded.
What we know to this point is that a truck and individuals were involved, and we have been told that someone ended up in the water.
We were also told that at least one person received treatment from EMS, however the state of the individual is unknown. No word on the condition of any one else involved.
City Police tell Quinte News that more information will be forthcoming this afternoon, and Meyers Pier and the Pier BBQ and Grill are closed at this time.
