They were important “highlight moments” last week for the recently installed President and CEO of Quinte Health Care.
Stacey Daub told QHC’s Board of Directors that those moments involved raising the PRIDE flag at all four of the organization’s hospitals.
And last Friday, a town hall event was held for staff, many of whom said the raising of the flags meant a lot to them.
“It was important to signal to our community that we are a place of inclusivity and that all people and every individual and resident should feel safe, supported, and welcome in our hospitals.”
A Diversity and Inclusion Team will continue bringing education and events to QHC’s staff on a regular basis.
