There are 30,360 residents of Hastings and Prince Edward Counties who are now fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
That’s 19% of the local population aged 12 and up who have received both doses of vaccine.
Seventy-two percent of residents have had one shot – 110,069 people.
Almost 2,100 doses of vaccine were administered in HPE on Monday.
As of Tuesday, there are also are two remaining active cases of COVID-19 in the two counties.
The HPE Public Health dashboard showed no new cases Tuesday and one recovery since Monday’s report.
The Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit says there were no new cases in Northumberland on Tuesday.
Nine cases are active.
In fact, the HKPRDRHU reported no new cases across its entire jurisdiction Tuesday, the first time it has done so since March 23rd.
Prior to March, the last time zero cases were reported was November 29, 2020.
