Former Belleville Senators’ goaltender Marcus Hogberg is headed home to Sweden.
The big netminder, who spent four seasons with the Belleville Senators before joining Ottawa full-time, has signed a four-year contract with Linkoping HC in Sweden’s top division.
Hogberg played in 77 AHL games between Binghamton and Belleville, compiling a record of 36 wins, 32 losses and six overtime losses.
He had a goals against average of 2.72, a save percentage of .907 and three shutouts.
The 26-year-old also made 14 appearances with the NHL Sens this past season, with a 4-7-0 record, a 3.74 goals against average and a .876 save percentage.
