Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is reporting one new case of COVID-19 Wednesday which brings the active total up to six.
After a recent stretch of eight days without a COVID-19 case in the region, there has been a very minor uptick in cases.
The new case is located in Quinte West and has been attributed to close contact.
To date, there have been 107,824 first doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered as well as 23,089 people who’ve had their second dose.
That means that 64% of the local population has had at least one dose and 14% have had their second.
There is still one person hospitalized with nobody in the ICU or on a ventilator.
In Northumberland County, the HKPR District Health Unit is reporting three new cases which leaves six active there.
