An appeal has been filed against Prince Edward County Council’s decision to allow the expansion of the Quinte’s Isle Campark.
The Friends of South Shore filed the appeal with Ontario’s Local Planning Appeal Tribunal, before the June 10 deadline, citing concerns about noise, traffic and environmental issues.
The group also says that the process to give the expansion the okay was flawed and done improperly.
The expansion, which is now on hold until the tribunal rules on the appeal, would see another section added to the trailer park with 337 park model trailer sites and be named “Pebble Beach East.”
A date for a hearing of the LPAT has not yet been announced.
