The new and improved Brighton Skate Park has reopened.
MPP David Piccini joined members of the Skateboard Park Committee and the municipality at a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday afternoon.
The new skate park at King Edward Park was built with a $125,000 capital grant from the provincial government and donations from the community.
The total cost was $260,000.
The larger, professionally designed park includes new ramps and jumps.
Skateboard Park Committee Chair Tania Light says users of the park asked for a newer, more challenging facility.
