The Quinte West OPP has charged a driver following a complaint from a resident that a vehicle hit their house.
On June 13, 2021 at approximately 1:24 a.m., Quinte West OPP responded to a residence on Dundas Street West in Trenton after a resident called to report a car struck their home as well as a pole across the street. Officers attended the address and located the driver who was demonstrating obvious signs of impairment. As a result the driver was arrested for impaired driving. The accused was transported to the Quinte West OPP detachment for testing where blood alcohol levels were determined to be well in excess of the legal limit.
Anne JACKSON, 57 years old of Quinte West was charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus). Her licence was suspended for 90 days and additionally her vehicle was impounded for seven days.
She was released from custody on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on June 24, 2021.
