“Operating on very little revenue has also certainly been a challenge, as any business can attest. I think as we move along is forecasting what the future may be and building budgets. That’s been an ongoing challenge over the last 16 to 18 months.”
“It’s inconceivable that if you had asked me two years ago, would we have had not one but two teams in a playoff position in Belleville not being able to play any playoff games.”
“Those are the things that we’re working on today. We’ve already started our renewal process with our season ticket holders, we’re talking to our corporate partners, we’re looking at our marketing plans. It really is the relaunching of our franchise and honestly we just can’t wait to get back to CAA Arena.”
Mullowney adds he wishes he had a crystal ball to better understand what the future of the pandemic will bring.
“Right now we have multiple scenarios, multiple budgets. We do know that we will have fans in the building next year. We don’t know the total capacity today, June, and we expect to learn more about that over the coming months. You know you just have to be prepared.”
He finished by stating that of everything they are focusing on, one thing remains their top priority.
“We only want to play, if the environment to do so is safe. When we do play we will make sure that the environment is safe. That’s really is the most important thing I can say to our fans and our ticket holders and partners. We’re going to follow the guidance of the health officials, we’re going to implement any protocols that are required. We’re going to listen to our fans and our partners about what they expect to see. Health and safety is absolutely our number one priority.”
