A growing and older population has increased demand for health care services everywhere, including in Northumberland County.
Representatives from Campbellford Memorial and Northumberland Hills hospitals recently asked county council for $10 million to help pay for priority medical equipment.
The $10 million would be spread over a 10-year period.
Northumberland County council referred the hospital’s request to budget for discussion.
