Financial support could be on the way for a brand new state of the art YMCA Centre for Life in Belleville.
A major announcement is expected this morning (Monday) from Bay of Quinte riding MP Neil Ellis, MPP Todd Smith, and Belleville Mayor Mitch Panciuk regarding the Y.
Plans have been in the works for some time for a new recreation facility to be located on the former Quinte Exhibition grounds in the city’s west end.
Along with the YMCA, the Centre for Life would involve Quinte Vocational Support Services, and Volunteer Information Quinte.
The new facility is expected to cost at least $22.5 million.
