Despite having their season wiped out by the COVID pandemic 7 members of the Under 16 Quinte Red Devils drew the attention of teams in the Ontario Hockey League at their virtual Entry Draft.
Left Winger Ethan Miedema of Cobourg was selected fourth overall in the first round by the Windsor Spitfires on Friday night.
Defenceman Cal Uens of Napanee was drafted by the Owen Sound Attack in Round 3.
The Ottawa 67’s had two picks in the fourth round and selected Red Devils with both. Right Winger Ethan Quick of Trenton was taken 64th overall while teammate Jack Dever (Centre) was taken four picks later.
Defenceman Duncan Schneider will play close to home. The Belleville native was selected by the Kingston Frontenacs in Round 5.
Cobourg’s Chris Brydges was a 9th round selection of the Guelph Storm and Red Devils goaltender Ethan Beattie went in round 13 to the Hamilton Bulldogs.
