The construction boom is continuing in the Bay of Quinte.
In the month of May there were 80 permits issued in Belleville for a total construction value of $12,503,541.20.
That’s an increase of $10,035,690.20 over May of 2020.
Leading the charge last month was residential (other) with 47 permits issued for a total construction value of $1,391,393.22 followed by residential (new) with 14 permits for a total value of $3,596,895 and industrial (other) with four permits for a total value of $6,590,900.
This year so far there have been 234 permits issued for a total construction value of $44,421,597.22 in Belleville. At this point in 2020 the total construction value for permits issued on the year was $25,472,450.44 which marks a difference of $18,949,146.80.
In 2021 so far there have been 167 permits issued for residential (other) at a construction value of $4,355,634.22, 45 permits issued for commercial (other) at a value of $1,880,647.65 and 67 permits issued for residential (new) at a value of $17,091,410.
