OPP say foul play is not suspected, after the body of a 60-year-old man was found in the water of Dark Lake in Wilberforce on Thursday afternoon.
Officers from the Haliburton Highlands detachment were called to the lake around 2:00 p.m. afternoon and have identified the body as 60-year-old Steven Honderich of Highlands East Township.
A post-mortem is scheduled at the Centre of Forensic Sciences in Toronto.
Investigators say there is no threat to public safety, but anyone who might have information on the incident can contact the Haliburton Highlands OPP Crime Unit (1-888-310-1122) or Crimestoppers (1-800-222-2477).
