The Quinte West Chamber of Commerce’s COVID-19 rapid testing initiative is well underway.
So far, 35 businesses have been signed up for the program designed to provide small and medium sized businesses with rapid COVID-19 antigen testing kits to be used for frontline workers.
The program, offered through the federal and provincial governments, is open to any businesses with 150 or less workers.
The antigen tests can quickly help businesses identify asymptomatic cases of the virus in the workplace.
The city is covering the costs of the biohazard pick-up and the results of the tests will be reported through the chamber.
