A popular pedestrian bridge in Belleville will close for about a month, starting next week.
The Kay Manderville Pedestrian Bridge, which crosses the Moira River from Station Street, across to Moira Street East will be closed for maintenance, starting on Tuesday, May 25.
City staff say the closure will help to reduce environmental disruptions, construction delays and costs, with pedestrians needing to cross the river being advised to use the Sagonaska Bridge on Pinnacle Street instead.
The Kay Manderville Pedestrian Bridge is expected to be closed until the middle of June.
