The County of Prince Edward has sent the final tax notices for all residential properties by mail or email to those enrolled in electronic billing. The first instalment is due June 15, 2021. Second instalment is due September 15, 2021. Industrial, commercial, and multi-residential property bills will be issued in August.
Failure to receive a tax notice does not absolve the property owner from any taxes due or from penalty charges for late payment.
If you did not receive your tax notice, please contact Shire Hall by email at tax@pecounty.on.ca or by phone at 613.476.2148 extension 1530.
Late payments will be subject to interest of 1.25% on June 15, 2021 and on the first day of each month that they remain unpaid.
During the province-wide lockdown, Shire Hall is closed to the public for in-person payments. Hours of service will be posted on The County’s website when the lockdown ends. Property owners are encouraged to use one of the following alternatives to in-person payments:
- Online payments from your bank account through The County’s website.
- Mail a cheque made payable to “The County of Prince Edward” to 332 Picton Main Street, Picton, ON K0K 2T0.
- Pay through online or telephone banking services by adding “Prince Edward County – Tax” as a payee. Use the roll number as the account number.
- Pre-authorized payment plans. Register using the online enrolment form.
- Cheque payments can also be left in the drop box located to the left of the Shire Hall front entrance at 332 Picton Main Street, Picton.
- Payments can be made at most financial institutions by taking a copy of the bill directly to the bank branch.
