Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is reporting two new cases of COVID-19 as well as 12 new recoveries for an active total of 53 cases.
The two new cases are attributed to local spread and are located in Quinte West and Prince Edward County, respectively.
The HPE COVID-19 dashboard also says there has been one new Variant of Concern case identified for a total of 416 since the pandemic began, with 29 of those cases currently active.
There are 14 people being treated in hospital for the virus, one fewer than on Saturday, including six people in the Intensive Care Unit and five people on ventilators.
To date, there have been 73,234 doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered in HPE with 5,756 people, or 3% of the area’s population having had both shots.
