Debit card theft
On May 13, 2021 at 9:06 a.m., police received a call about a theft of a debit card. The caller advised police that sometime during the night a vehicle was broken into through a smashed window. This occurred in the Tracey Park Drive area. Stolen was a debit card. Further investigation revealed the card to have been used twice during the morning for withdrawals on both occasions. Police have video surveillance to work with and the investigation is continuing. Police are asking anyone with information about who may be responsible for the damage of and theft from this automobile to contact investigating officer Cst. Theft of hockey cards
On May 13, 2021 at 9:08 a.m., police received a call about a theft from a home on Progress Avenue. The complainant, an elderly gentleman, advised police that it appeared that somebody had removed items from the inside of his home along with an item from his attached garage. Although the call was not received as a break and enter, police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the theft. Stolen from inside the home was a collection of hockey cards, while stolen from the garage was a fishing pole. The investigation is continuing, and police are asking anyone with information about who may be responsible for this to contact investigating officer Cst. Theft of speakers and heaters
On May 13, 2021 at 1:56 p.m., police were called to a restaurant on Bell Boulevard for a reported theft of outdoor speakers and heaters. The investigation revealed that unknown suspect(s) had removed two black “Rave” speakers and four outdoor electric heaters from the outside of the business. The matter continues to be investigated. Family dispute = liquor arrest
On May 14, 2021 at 12:30 a.m., police received a report of a family dispute in the area of Moira Street West and Frank Street. An investigation revealed the involved people had been consuming alcohol. One male, a 30-year-old city man, was arrested outside the home for being intoxicated in a public place. He was taken into custody for his own protection, and for the protection of others, and lodged to a holding cell to await a sober release later in the morning.
