An officials with HPE Public Health says there isn’t much to say at this point about why the Picton Tim Hortons location was closed on Wednesday afternoon.
Customers tell Quinte News the store shut down early in the afternoon, with a sign being posted later in the day, saying the closure was temporary and “due to the evolving health situation.”
The sign apologizes for the inconvenience and suggests customers visit the restaurant in Wellington instead.
HPE Public Health Spokesperson Maureen Hyland tells Quinte News that if there is more to report around the closure, that the public needs to know about, those details will be released to the media.
