Prince Edward County Council will take a look at the plan to renovate Shire Hall at Thursday afternoon’s Committee of the Whole meeting.
The design by Branch Architecture would see council chambers expanded, the horseshoe reoriented for more space for the public and provide technology and accessibility upgrades including universal washrooms on the second floor.
Council is being asked to approve the $428,000 construction budget.
Renovations could begin as early as this month.
