The number of COVID-19 cases reported in Hastings and Prince Edward Counties was down this week.
Since Saturday, May 1 there have been 61 new cases reported compared to 87 the previous week.
There were also 42 new Variant of Concern cases identified in that time for a total of 344.
There was one new COVID-19 related death in the area bringing the total to 10 since the pandemic began.
In the past week there were 5,117 doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered and now 4,564 people are fully vaccinated.
To date there have been 65,730 total doses administered.
As of Friday there are 17 people in hospital with the virus, six in the ICU and six on ventilators.
