A 38-year-old Quinte West man is facing charges after a single car crash in Trenton on Thursday night.
Quinte West OPP responded to the call on County Road 40, just south of Highway 2 around 9:20 p.m., where a car had gone into the ditch.
Investigators say the driver sustained a visible injury to the head and was taken to hospital by Hastings-Quinte EMS, but had also shown signs of impairment and had a suspended licence.
Christopher Smith has been charged with impaired driving and had his car impounded for 45 days.
He’ll be in court on May 20 to answer to the charges against him.
