Traffic is down to one lane in the area of County Road 40 and Miron Road in Quinte West following a two-vehicle collision.
A head on collision occurred just before noon.
There is no word yet on injuries but Quinte West Fire Chief John Whelan expects emergency crews to be on scene for some time.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible.
