A former secondary school teacher and principal says he will stand for nomination as the Liberal candidate in Northumberland-Peterborough South riding in the next provincial election.
According to Today’s Northumberland Jeff Kawzenuk worked as an educator and coach at several schools in Northumberland County for over 35 years, including East Northumberland Secondary in Brighton.
He was also given the Wilf Wilkinson and Paul Harris Rotary International Awards for his work in the wider community.
The Ontario Liberal Party’s candidate nomination process begins next month.
Progressive Conservative David Piccini currently represents Northumberland-Peterborough South. In the 2018 provincial election the Liberal candidate was the then incumbent MPP Lou Rinaldi.
