The month of April was an active one when it comes to COVID-19 infections locally.
In the four weeks spanning April 3 to April 30, 409 new COVID cases were reported in Hastings and Prince Edward counties.
On an optimistic note, 31,061 vaccine doses were administered in those 28 days with the total being 63,932 on April 30.
The number of people fully vaccinated doubled from around 2,000 to 4,000.
Three people died from the coronavirus in April in Hasting-Prince Edward.
