Rehabilitation work on the Bridge Street Lower Bridge in Belleville will mean the bridge will be closed to motorists starting in May.
The lower bridge is a concrete bowstring arch structure over the Moira River, first constructed in 1930.
The City of Belleville will be conducting rehabilitation work which includes repairing, and carbon fibre wrapping, damaged concrete on the arches and floor beams.
Work is expected to start in mid-May.
Detour signage will be posted.
Pedestrian access will be maintained for the duration of the construction via a temporary pedestrian walkway.
Construction is anticipated to be completed by late September.
