Belleville Police had 52 calls for service from yesterday, into early this morning, including one call that involved an irate man around midnight.
Officers were called to a home in the east end, where the man was allegedly using marijuana, causing a disturbance and threatening to hurt police, when they arrived.
Police say they had to subdue the man and take him into custody for breaching the peace and the 30-year-old was taken to the BPS headquarters.
He was released once he was no longer deemed to be a threat to others.
