The Quinte Region saw a 76-year temperature record get broken yesterday.
According to Environment Canada, local temperature hit a peak of about 18.2 degrees Celsius, setting a new record for March 25.
The previous record was 17.2 degrees in 1945.
The average high for this year is about plus six degrees.
Today’s high is forecast to be around plus 13, but if we hit that, we would still fall short of the March 26 record of 21.1, also set in 1945.
