Domestic Assault
On March 24, 2021, Belleville police responded to a 911 call from a residence on Bevan Avenue. Upon arrival, officers spoke to a resident who indicated that they had been in a domestic dispute with their spouse. During the dispute they were assaulted. As a result, a 47-year-old Belleville resident was arrested and charged with one count of domestic assault and held for a bail hearing on March 25, 2021. There were no injuries.
Uttering threats
On March 24, 2021 at 2 p.m., Belleville police attended at the Hastings County building in regards to threats. A person answering the phones was threatened by a caller. Police investigated the incident and identified a suspect. Brandon White, a 20-year-old from Deseronto, was arrested and charged with uttering threats. The accused was released on an undertaking with a court date of April 15, 2021.
