Two years ago management and staff at Quinte Health Care were very concerned about a shortage of physicians.
There were serious problems in Trenton, Belleville, and North Hastings hospitals.
Now, the situation is much improved.
Tuesday QHC’s Board of Directors learned that since April of last year, 42 doctors with various specialties joined the medical staff.
There are still shortages in a couple of specialties, notably Psychiatry, and recruitment efforts continue.
