Local school bus operators will continue to voice their displeasure with the provincial RFP process for student transportation tomorrow.
Representatives from the Tri-Board School Bus Operators Association will be holding rallies outside the offices of MPP Todd Smith in Rossmore and MPP Daryl Kramp in Madoc.
The association says over the last 10 years, the current RFP process “has put more than 100 independent school bus operators out of business” and it is worried that 19 of its members could be next.
The association is urging the government to consider other options when it comes to selecting transportation providers for students that will be more fair to the smaller, independent companies.
Tomorrow’s rallies are set to begin around 10:30 a.m.
