The much touted provincial government online COVID-19 appointment booking website is causing a lot of people problems.
The online booking portal, which started accepting bookings from people 80 years of age and older became live at 8 o’clock this morning (Monday).
Local residents have told Quinte News that they’ve gone to the website and discovered a waiting list many thousands of people long.
One man said when he started he was number 55,000 on the waiting list and after an hour long wait, made some progress, only to be halted when he was given a notice that the website had been tampered with and the registration suddenly came to an end.

Provincial Vaccine Booking Line at 1-888-999-6488. The line is available 8 a.m.-8 p.m., Monday-Sunday. Individuals who do not have a photo ID health card will be required to book by phone.
