An underage Belleville youth just couldn’t wait to qualify for a driver’s licence.
Sunday night around 9 o’clock, city police report the parent of a 13-year-old child called from work to say the child had taken the family vehicle, driving it away from a Russell Street residence.
Three friends were also with the driver.
Another parent managed to follow the vehicle and police eventually arrested the 13-year-old at another location. The youth was charged with taking a motor vehicle without consent.
