Prince Edward County council will hear a presentation on the Picton fairgrounds heritage master plan at its meeting Tuesday.
The report explains the importance of the Picton fairgrounds as a crucial link between the agricultural sector and the rest of the county.
The report suggests the fairgrounds are underused and maps out a plan to revitalize the area to strengthen the agricultural heritage and to allow for recreation and leisure in the area.
The master plan includes a variety of studies, assessments and restoration projects in order to improve the area for more common use and protect the historical heritage.
Council meets Tuesday at 7 p.m.
