There were no new cases of COVID-19 Friday in Hastings Prince Edward and the number of active cases is down to 18.
There have been three recoveries since yesterday.
The Hastings Prince Edward Public Health dashboard shows the seven day case rate per 100,000 people is 10.7.
In Northumberland Friday, there were three new cases and 13 active cases.
A declining number of overall cases of the virus means the province is moving the HKPR District Health Unit from an Orange to a Yellow zone as of Monday.
Full details about the new COVID-19 control measures under the Yellow category are available at www.hkpr.on.ca.
Acting local Medical Officer of Health Dr. Iam Gemmill is still urging people to continue with safety precautions especially with the faster spreading coronavirus variants.
He notes the variants have accounted for approximately one-quarter of all new cases detected across the HKPRDHU region in the last two weeks.
Meanwhile, an increase in the number of cases, many of them due to a gathering at a student residence, means Peterborough Public Health will move into the Red zone on Monday.
