After four successful seasons at Clarkson University, winning two national NCAA hockey championships, Belleville’s Cassidy Vinkle is playing for New Hampshire of the Professional Women’s Hockey Players Association.
The 23-year-old graduate of St. Theresa Secondary will play in a showcase this weekend at Chicago’s United Centre.
The tournament will increase awareness of women’s hockey with the hope of creating a viable professional league.
Vinkle was the captain of the Golden Knights in her last season at Clarkson. She now attends New England College where she is completing her Masters Degree in Strategic Business.
Cassidy Vinkle is also the assistant coach for the women’s hockey team.
