Belleville City Staff will recommend that the planning committee approve a large expansion of the Potter’s Creek subdivision on Monday.
The committee will see a report that suggests it should give the “OK” to the added development in the west end, which would see the construction of 82 single homes, 14 town homes and three, four-storey apartment buildings, totalling 165 units.
The plan also calls for a roadway to connect Sienna Drive and Avonlough Road, which would alleviate some public concerns about traffic in the area, which were brought up at a pair of public meetings.
Current residents had also taken issue with the construction of apartment buildings, but the developer has agreed to move those buildings to another part of the land in question.
The planning committee meets Monday afternoon at 5:30 p.m.
