A single vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon just east of Brighton resulted in impaired charges against the driver.
Northumberland OPP responded to a report of a pick-up truck in the ditch at the intersection of County Road 2 and Lisgar Street just before 4 p.m.
Officers arrived at the location and observed an individual sitting in the driver’s seat.
Investigation led to charges against a 26-year-old from Brighton.
Brody Brown is charged with Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) and Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court in Cobourg in April.
