The Quinte West OPP has charged two Quinte West residents following a drug investigation.
On February 24, 2021 at approximately 8:00 a.m., the Quinte West OPP Community Street Crime Unit, with the assistance of the OPP Emergency Response Team, conducted a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant of a residence on Wilkins Street in Trenton.
Two people were arrested.
As a result of the search, a quantity of suspected cocaine, pills, drug paraphernalia and cash were seized.
Jessy SILLIPHANT, 33 years old, and Samantha MCDONALD, 27 years old, both of Quinte West have been charged with the following:
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine; and
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
Additionally, SILLIPHANT has been charged with failure to comply with a release order.
The accused were released on Undertakings and are scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville in March of 2021.
