Belleville police are asking for the public’s help in locating a vehicle stolen from the Toronto area.
Officers spotted a suspicious vehicle in the downtown area at 2:30 this morning (Monday) and gave chase but the car sped away and police suspended the pursuit out of concerns for public safety.
Police are looking for a dark coloured older Nissan Sentra with the licence plate CHZP 391.
Meanwhile, a 25-year-old Belleville man was charged with arson after a disturbance on Victoria Avenue yesterday (Sunday) afternoon.
A fire was deliberately set around 2:30 outside a home’s doors but was quickly put out and a suspect arrested nearby.
