Prince Edward County residents continue to make good use of regional health services in Kingston.
At Tuesday’s Prince Edward County council meeting, representatives of the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation will update council on its COVID-19 response and patient usage data for residents of the county.
From 2015 to 2019 there has been a 10% increase on inpatient visits from county residents to Kingston hospitals.
There has also been a 28% increase in emergency room visits from 2015 to 2020 and a 32% increase in patients from the county accessing care at the Cancer Centre in the same time span.
The foundation is in the process of a large redevelopment project for Kingston General Hospital.
