A teenager has been charged with sexual assault involving a young girl.
On February 3, Central Hastings OPP began a historical sexual assault investigation into incidents that occurred in the summer of 2020 involving an 8-year-old female.
As a result of the investigation, a 15-year-old male from Madoc was arrested and charged with three counts of Sexual Assault.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on March 2.
OPP say it is believed that this is an isolated incident and there is no danger to public safety.
