On Sunday February 7, 2021 shortly before 10:30 p.m., officers from the Prince Edward County Detachment of the OPP responded to a report of a suspicious person at a residence on County Road 3 in Ameliasburgh Ward.
Officers attended the scene and located the individual who then fled the scene.
Officers located and arrested the individual shortly thereafter.
As a result, Mathew SCERO, age 35 from Belleville, was charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
· Obstruct peace officer
· Fail to comply with probation order – three counts
· Fail to comply with undertaking
The accused was held for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice on video on February 8, 2021.
