If city council approves, low income seniors and disabled people can expect a bigger break on their local taxes.
Quinte West’s Corporate Finance Committee has recommended council approve the seniors/disabled tax credit be increased from $300 to $400 a year.
Last year 111 residents applied for the credit, almost double the number that applied in 2019.
