A 30-year-old Quinte West woman has been charged after a disturbance in the city early this (Wednesday) morning.
OPP officers were called to the reported incident on Montrose Road, around 1:30 a.m., where the woman was arrested and an amount of suspected methamphetamine was found.
Investigators say the accused was taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries and was then charged with assault, mischief and possession of methamphetamine.
She was released with conditions and a court date on February 22, 2021.
Police say her name is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim in this case.
