Staff in Prince Edward County are putting out a final call for input on the proposed Official Plan, that could be adopted by council, at a special meeting next month.
The Official Plan will guide The County’s growth and development for the next 25 years, with staff and council reevaluating it every five years, to make any changes if the direction and policy becomes irrelevant, or outdated.
If approved, the Official Plan would be sent to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing, with PEC planning staff recommending no changes to the document for two years, once the ministry approves.
You can read the latest version of the draft Official plan here and see a staff report including feedback so far here, with a special public meeting to be held on February 10, 2021 at 6:00 p.m.
Anyone who wants to provide input at that meeting needs to register through the clerk’s office (clerks@pecounty.on.ca) by noon on Tuesday February 9, 2021.
