Local municipalities are working together and asking their residents to hang a heart in honour of local healthcare workers.
Through the Hearts for Healthcare campaign, the City of Belleville, the Municipality of Brighton, Hastings County, the City of Quinte West and the County of Prince Edward are encouraging residents to hang a heart in their front windows, doors or yards in support of all the local hard-working healthcare workers.
The five local governments say it’s vital to recognize the essential healthcare workers who are feeling the strain of long hours and staffing shortages.
A downloadable design is available online ( http://quintewest.site/Hearts ), or make something unique.
There will also be a cut-out in the February 4 edition of the Trentonian and Community Press.
Participants are encouraged to take pictures of their decorated hearts and submit them to a website ( https://pollunit.com/polls/heartsforhealthcare ) where others can view and leave positive comments in the spirit of celebrating everyone in the healthcare field.
