OPP stopped a speeding vehicle on Highway 401 leading to multiple arrests and the seizure of stolen property and fraudulent documents.
Early Saturday afternoon, Lennox and Addington OPP stopped a vehicle which was being operated in a dangerous manner on the westbound 401, west of Deseronto Road.
The driver and two passengers were arrested.
Police seized the vehicle, along with break-in tools and stolen property including identity documents, fraudulent cheques and personal documents.
L&A County OPP have charged:
Vikramjit SINGH, age 31, of no fixed address with:
- Dangerous Operation of a motor vehicle
- Possession of Credit Card – six counts;
· Possession of Break in Instruments
· Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
· Fourteen Counts of Possession of a Forged document c
· Possession of instrument for forgery
· Twenty seven counts of Possession of identity Document
· Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Heroin contrary to the Controlled Drug and substance Act –
· Stunt Driving
Rajwinder Singh CHAUHAN, age 27, and Preetam RATTAN, age 26, both of no fixed address are charged with:
- Possession of Credit Card – six counts;
- Possession of Break in Instruments
· Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
· Possession of a Forged document
· Possession of instrument for forgery
· Possession of identity Document
· Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Heroin
RATTAN received a further charge of Fail to Comply with release order
All accused were held for a bail hearing and appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on January 24, 2021.
